What kind of food do you serve? My personal specialty is vegan soul food, but as a team we do everything from gourmet to down home cookin'. One of our highlights is fitness foods designed for body builders and work out enthusiasts. Do you, Nate, do all the cooking? No, I don't do all the cooking. I do a lot of the cooking, and I have my specialties. If the client requests something that I don't do, then I pull from my list of chefs, and together, we get the job done. Where do you cook the food? In some cases the food is prepared at the venue. Otherwise the food is prepared in a private kitchen that has been state board of health approved and is listed on our insurance policy. How much does the chandelier bartender costs? Anywhere from $2000 - $3800 depending on the location, and what is needed to set it up. She hangs and performs for 2.5 hours. What do you charge for catering? It varies. We can do wonders with any budget. For example, we can prepare an elegant dinner for 4 for as low as $160, all the way up to the most extravagant affair where money is of no essence. Either way, we pledge to amaze you and your guests in the most cost effective way. What if I cancel? That depends on which one of our services you ordered, and paid for at the signing of the contract. You may receive a full refund of your deposit paid for food services if a cancellation is made outside of 5 calendar days of the event. However, cancellations made for entertainment services must be made before 7 calendar days of the event if the artists are local to the city of the event, and 21 days if they are not. Designers can begin working on your event as early as 60 days before an event so the cancellation policy for those services vary. More details are found in the contract under the subheading, "cancellations". How many waiters would I need? For the fastest, most efficient service, the guest to waiter ratio should be no more than 20:1 for regular plated service, and 3:1 for silver service. What else do you offer? There are no limits on what we can do. If you have any extraordinary idea outside of what is already being offered, we will do all the leg work to get it done. Are all your services from "in house"? Our first effort is to pull from our own roster of chefs, artists, culinary staff, and security guards. However, we will not hesitate to go beyond ourselves to meet your need. In which case, we simply become the broker between you, the client, and the artist/staff supplying the service. If everything is not "in house", why would I need you? Firstly, we provide you with the luxury of being able to focus on other things while we handle all the leg work; from ordering plane tickets, arranging ground transportation, and lodging, making sure the artists get to the event, and in some cases walk through a dress rehearsal with them, setting up equipment, selecting the best chefs for those exotic specialties, etc. Secondly, we have access to vendors, and purveyors, and management companies that that general public does not have access to, and we can often get a lower price. What about insurance? JAH'S World carries a general liability policy that covers any single incident up to one million ($1,000,000) dollars. All things covered include property damage where our staff is deemed liable, food related sickness, and many other mishaps. We are more than happy to furnish a certificate of proof whenever requested.
